Genes

UBA1

Ubiquitin-like modifier activating enzyme 1 (UBA1) is a gene that encodes a protein that catalyzes the initial step in ubiquitin conjugation to tag substrate proteins for degradation. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions, and in-frame insertions are observed in cancers such as breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and intestinal cancer.
