TFPT

TCF3 (E2A) fusion partner (in childhood Leukemia) (TFPT) is a gene that encodes a protein that promotes apoptosis in a p53-independent fashion. The protein also functions in transcriptional regulation, DNA replication, and DNA repair as part of a regulatory complex. Fusions, missense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.
