SYNE1

Spectrin repeat containing, nuclear envelope 1 (SYNE1) is a gene that encodes a protein that is expressed in skeletal and smooth muscle and localizes to the nuclear membrane. Missense mutations, silent mutations, nonsense mutations, and frameshift deletions are observed in cancers such as colon cancer, stomach cancer, and esophageal cancer.
