Succinate-CoA ligase, ADP-forming, beta subunit (SUCLA2) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as a mitochondrial matrix enzyme. The protein is an ATP-specific beta subunit that dimerizes with an alpha subunit to participate in the TCA cycle. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, and frameshift deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and skin cancer.
