Signal transducer and activator of transcription
1 (STAT1) is a gene that encodes a member of the STAT protein family that functions as
a transcription activator when translocated to the nucleus of a cell. Missense mutations,
nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift deletions and insertions, and in-frame
insertions are observed in cancers such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, and stomach
