PCBP1

Poly (rC) binding protein 1 (PCBP1) is a gene that encodes a protein that has multiple functions including RNA binding, translational co-activation of poliovirus RNA, translational control of specific mRNAs, and formation of a sequence-specific alpha-globin mRNP complex. Missense, nonsense, and silent mutations are observed in cancers such as intestinal cancer, stomach cancer, and urinary tract cancer.
