MAP3K7

Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 7 (MAP3K7) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as a serine/threonine kinase. The protein mediates the signaling transduction induced by TGF-beta and morphogenetic protein (BMP). The protein is also involved in transcriptional regulation and apoptosis. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift insertions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and stomach cancer.
