Genes

LASP1

LIM and SH3 protein 1 (LASP1) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions as a cAMP and cGMP signaling protein. The protein binds to the actin cytoskeleton at extensions of the cell membrane. Fusions, missense mutations, nonsense mutations, and silent mutations are observed in cancers such as endometrial cancer, intestinal cancer, and skin cancer.
