IFITM3

Interferon induced transmembrane protein 3 (IFITM3) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions in conferring immunity to viruses such as influenza A H1N1 virus and dengue virus. Missense and silent mutations are observed in cancers such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, and intestinal cancer.
