Genes

DNM2

Dynamin 2 (DNM2) is a gene that encodes a protein that functions in in endocytosis and cell motility. The protein also plays a role in alterations of the membrane that are involved in bone resorption by osteoclasts. Missense mutations, nonsense mutations, silent mutations, frameshift insertions and deletions, and in-frame deletions are observed in cancers such as hematopoietic and lymphoid cancers, intestinal cancer, and skin cancer.
