Beta-transduction repeat containing E3 ubiquitin protein
ligase (BTRC) is a gene that encodes a protein that is a member of the F-box protein
family that functions in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The protein participates in
the degradation of CD4 and ubiquitinates phosphorylated NFKBIA. Missense mutations, nonsense
mutations, silent mutations, and frameshift deletions and insertions are observed in cancers
such as intestinal cancer, skin cancer, and stomach cancer.
