5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase/IMP cyclohydrolase (ATIC)
is a gene that encodes a catalytic protein that catalyzes the final two steps
of the de novo purine biosynthetic pathway. Fusions, missense mutations, nonsense mutations,
and silent mutations are observed in cancers
such as lung cancer, ovarian cancer, and skin cancer.
